Przymierze małżeńskie
przez które mężczyzna i kobieta tworzą ze sobą wspólnotę, całego życia, skierowaną ze swej natury na dobro małżonków oraz do zrodzenia i wychowania potomstwa, zostało między ochrzczonymi podniesione przez Chrystusa Pana do godności sakramentu (KPK 1055,1).
Małżeństwo będące głęboką wspólnotą życia i miłości nie jest instytucją czysto ludzką. Sam bowiem Bóg jest jego twórcą, gdyż stworzył człowieka z miłości i powołał go także do miłości trwałej i nieodwołalnej. Od samego początku Pan Bóg ustanowił małżeństwo jako trwały i nierozerwalny związek mężczyzny i kobiety. Według słów Chrystusa Pana, sam Bóg ich łączy:
Co więc Bóg złączył, niech człowiek nie rozdziela (Mt 19, 6)
- Narzeczeni zgłaszają się przynajmniej trzy miesiące przed terminem zawarcia małżeństwa i ustalają datę i godzinę ślubu.
- Biorą udział w dziesięciu konferencjach przygotowujących do małżeństwa, trzech spotkaniach z psychologiem oraz dniu skupienia.
- Dwie spowiedzi przedślubne - pierwsza na początku przygotowań do ślubu, druga - w ostatnim tygodniu przed zawarciem sakramentu.
Dokumenty potrzebne przy zawarciu małżeństwa
Narzeczeni przygotowujący się do sakramentu małżeństwa trzy miesiące przed wyznaczonym terminem zgłaszają się w kancelarii parafialnej i przedstawiają następujące dokumenty:
- Świadectwo chrztu z datą nie przekraczającą trzech miesięcy, pobrane z parafii, w której miał miejsce chrzest, tzw. pełny wypis do ślubu
- Świadectwo bierzmowania
- Świadectwo ukończenia katechezy stopnia średniego (szkoła średnia, zawodowa) - do wglądu
- Zaświadczenie ukończenia konferencji przygotowawczych do sakramentu małżeństwa
- Dane personalne i wyznanie świadków
- Zaświadczenie z USC (ważne 3 miesiące) - niezbędne, gdy małżonkowie chcą, aby ślub kościelny pociągał za sobą skutki cywilno-prawne - tzw. ślub konkordatowy, lub akt związku małżeńskiego, jeśli wcześniej zawarto związek cywilny
- Wdowcy przynoszą ponadto cywilny lub kościelny akt zgonu poprzedniego współmałżonka
- Jeśli narzeczeni są z innej parafii, przynoszą pismo proboszcza parafii narzeczonej lub narzeczonego wyrażające zgodę na załatwienie formalności i błogosławienie związku małżeńskiego
Akt ślubu spisujemy w tygodniu poprzedzającym sakrament.
Świadkowie składają podpisy pod aktem ślubu w zakrystii bezpośrednio przed liturgią sakramentu.

The matrimonial covenant
by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life and which is ordered by its nature to the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring, has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament between the baptised (Can. 1055 §1).
Marriage, being a profound communion of life and love, is not a purely human institution. God Himself created it, as He created man to love and made perpetual and irrevocable love his calling. From the very beginning God established marriage as a lasting and indissoluble bond between a man and a woman. As Christ said, they are bound together by God Himself:
Therefore, what God has joined together, man must never separate (Mt 19, 6)
The betrothed couple report at least three months before their planned marriage date to determine the date and time of the wedding.
They participate in ten meetings in preparation for the marriage, three sessions with a psychologist ,and a day of contemplation.
THE DOCUMENTS NEEDED WHEN CONTRACTING A MARRIAGE
The betrothed couple preparing for the sacrament of matrimony should report to the parish office three months before the planned marriage and present the following documents:
- Baptism certificate (with a date not exceeding three months back) which you should ask in the parish of your baptism for.
- Confirmation certificate.
- Certificate of secondary school religious instruction (general secondary school, vocational school) - for inspection.
- A certificate of completion of the meetings preparing for the sacrament of matrimony.
- Personal data and the declaration of the witnesses.
- A certificate from the Registry Office (valid 3 months) - essential, if the bride and groom wish the church wedding to have civil validity - the so-called concordat marriage, or marriage certificate that a civil wedding was contracted before.
- Widows and widowers also bring the civil or church death certificate of their late spouse.
- If the betrothed couple are from another parish, they bring a letter from the parish priest of each granting permission to handle all the formalities and bless the marriage.
The marriage certificate is drawn up during the week preceding the sacrament.
The witnesses place their signatures on the marriage certificate in the sacristy immediately before the liturgy of the sacrament.
